jen + ming // take two // where is ming?
some of you may remember jen + ming’s SDE from last summer. we usually don’t share both the SDE and highlights, however i think jen can handle all the press.
it was a day rich in events with an unbelievable san francisco city hall as the backdrop. it is probably one of the most grand locations we have shot in to date. i had a privilege to lead the kraziest party-train ever by flying the steadicam while followed by jen, ming and all the guests. i took them EVERYWHERE in the city hall: the main floor, upper floor, the hallways, even the grand set of stairs! it was certainly a highlight for me. and all it took was – ‘hey jen, follow me’.
it was a day full of emotions, as you will see in the piece. happy tears, shaking vows, warm hugs and unforgettable words.
all of which accounted for a very moving story.
here is a little inside story. while experimenting with one of the four white dresses (yep – four!) on windy streets of san francisco, ming got a little worried. he wanted to be sure to watch the dress very closely, just in case. there are two shots you can make ming out in the background, can you spot them?

Jen and Ming, you guys are adorable together! I especially love the family train going down the stairs and when Ming kissed Jen’s hands walking down the aisle. This is such a sweet video.
Konrad and Michael, I LOVE all the shots of the venue. You guys give justice to the grandiose look and feel I thought would be difficult to capture. Goes to say, nothing is difficult for Still Motion. You guys rock!

To the boys of Still Motion….WOW. I am just speechless. You make all those memories on that day so fresh and familiar. I’m incredibly moved and touched by it all. I know that I will definitely treasure this for the rest of my life. Thank you for capturing the incredible memories and most importantly, with the people that I love most. You guys are truly amazing!
…And I’m telling that to everyone I know that will give me the time of day and listen.
A million hugs and thanks!

Hey Jen. I cried too. There is a water damage on the floor around my editing station :)
Jamie, it is your managing skills what got us through that day, hence SDE.
Thanks Ngoc.

wow, konrado, the opening first shoot was used in the SDE i have seen, i remmember, again (or a variant of the shoot)anyways i luv it, is too beatiful maybe i can remember that shoot!, now in a wedding is wow the 3:29 is a magical transition very stunning, the steadicam shoot are beautiful like the place, but the music was selected to be an excelent rythm to storytelling what amazing piece.
anyways it feels very cinematic and more

WOW, I love your highlights for how moving they really are. I have seen hundreds of so called highlights (Including my own) which are normally a bunch of flashy clips thrown together. I love how you transition from clip to clip!! Your highlights capture the very emotion, love, anticipation, and excitement of the wedding day. They really tell a story to the viewer of what kind of people these couples really are. As you said in a previous posting…every clip tells something important about the day. I love your SDE’s but even more I am over come by your Highlights. Thank you for sharing it with us.

Seriously amazing. I think you guys should live part time in SF and part time in Canada. Then we could do more weddings together. You are truly a gift to the wedding industry.

Okay, I’m sorry to double post, but I have to agree with Lisa! I know Amina loves a certain part of California (ah-hem– Santa Clara!). :)

This is my first time coming to this page and I’ve been hooked for hours! Your work is truly amazing…every scene you captured speaks of the love each couple has for one another. Every story is never the same and I always end up crying! Being in love is an amazing feeling but seeing how love is to others is truly inspring! I only hope my wedding next year will speaks of the love I have for my fiance….thank you for sharing!
always,
Inlove

K-Man.
Transitions were seamless. Story was so compelling. Stedicam was smooth. What can I say? This video comes second only to your Michael Jackson dance.
