some mexico fun // laura josh

when i look back at laura and josh’s wedding, many things come to mind. it was our first all 35mm adapter wedding, our first time in mexico, josh and laura are such a fun loving couple, and together we all had such a great time.

we had so much fun the whole week there. oh, i miss those tropics.

for those who remember their highlights, they were very emotional. a few days after the wedding we went out to the city and did a portrait shoot. here’s a clip that i put together from that session. i love the contrast it has from their highlights.

  • thank you everybody for the comments. the look of the adapter was definitely softer and maybe more organic. mk2 is much sharper and better in low light, not to mention the dynamic range. it also has a specific look with those rich colors. we are now closer than ever to the look photographers could always achieve in their photos. Dennis, Casssper cracked me up to tears.

  • It seems after using 5D2 to shoot video, your video sharpness is not as good as before. It\’s the color presets or compression matter? It feels like HD screen sized LD (laser disc) quality.

    that was certainly something we struggled with when shooting. in order to make the clip an honest reflection of what the shoot and place are actually like it needed to be there. the fact it makes us uncomfortable is good i think.
