here are the entries. due to the timing of the grand prize (a workshop spot that starts later this month) we need to post all of these up at once. with almost 20 films, there will be a lot to go through.
here is the plan for public voting; every three days, half of the entries with the fewest votes will be removed and the same poll will be re-posted with the remaining entries. on thursday evening we will go down to 10 films, on sunday evening we will go down to five films, and on tuesday of next week we will announce the winners. that means your votes from day one will carry forward all the way until the end, but it also means you need to make sure people are seeing your film right away to help it onto the next round. please feel free to post on twitter, facebook, blog your entries – all we ask is that you encourage your viewers to vote for their favorite as opposed to just voting for a friend to help you win. let’s continue to make this a constructive way to shoot, share, and learn more about our craft.

I love winnie + jerry’s film. That ending was perfect! Both them and melissa + mark had some really creative transitions which I love seeing. laww media had a really cute story and I liked that it wasn’t pure black & white at the start. and of course paperback’s bicycle film – simple story with great shots. I’m happy there were so many entries this time; it’s so fun seeing everyone’s take on the theme. Best of luck to everyone!
paperback’s ‘Bicycle’ was also really cool. The varying shots and edits to get the complete story while highlighting a fantastic on screen character in the juggler. You learn so much about him through the lens before you hear his story. Simply effective story telling.
Found it! 2 favorites…every little thing you do and simple addictions. Both tell us great stories with characters you connect to. Fantastic imagery with the excess gummies pouring out of his mouth and the double shot with the blacked out lunch box from jerry to winnie….love it!
