a dynamic duo. 1 part graphic designer, 1 part animator.
it only makes sense, after studying at the bauhaus, to be wed in Weimar, Germany.
now, i’m not one for flying. in fact, the mere thought of a plane taking off sends shivers down my spine.
but, when you see tatjana & matt’s faces light up when they speak about their wedding, and all of the little details that are going in to it, i know it will be worth it. the memory of the flight involved in getting to their wedding will quickly be replaced with the memories of an unforgettable celebration.

many of you may remember stella of stella and chi. they got married last year and were featured on the blog multiple times. stella now comments on almost every post, showers us in gifts, and continually supports our every endeavor! (thanks stella!)
well, stella has a sister. and she seems to be following in her footsteps. :)
lovanna and will are getting married this coming may in columbus, and we’re super excited to be such a big part of everything! a few weekends ago, they decided to drive up from columbus (quite the hefty drive) for an engagement session with me. it was my first time meeting them and my first impressions were, well… impressed!
they were sooooo nice! not only did lovanna bring home-made, hand-made truffles that she crafted for us, will also brought home-made, hand-made buckeye chocolates that he crafted for us! a pretty good start to the relationship i think! anything having to do with chocolate is going to go over well with me anyways…. :)
so, i have a few photos I wanted to post from their shoot. i can’t post too much because i want to save the best for when we get together for them to see everything. but you see, we’re planning a scheme where we can proof everything in person, but being 8 hours apart, that’s a little hard to coordinate. so we’re thinking about meeting somewhere in the middle for a ski trip once the snow comes! so i have to keep most of the photos under wraps for now…
here are a few though.

today is day two of link & ngoc pre-wedding shoots.
yesterday we went out to two places: the place where they first met (santa clara university) and their reception venue (nestledown).
the great thing about link & ngoc is their energy. ngoc is a grownup version of a 5 year old. she’s cute, lively, and really, you just want to hug her. but the best thing of all is just how much they love each other. we’ll be showing their love story in three days, and can’t wait to see their (and their guests’) reactions.
this (below), is their way of checking in with each other, saying “hi. i’m here.”

vietnamese and guyanese… two very different cultures coming together in the marriage of vy and navin. but while there are so many differences, there is one common denominator. rice.
during their engagement session, we incorporated the many things that make them who they are. from symbolic dragon racing tributes to a 3-legged cow (to be explained in a blog post to come after their wedding in june), there are many photos in their gallery which only vy and navin will get (for now anyway).
here are a few that i’ve been working on.
(no real cows were harmed in the making of these photos).
